Hi, do you have any information about x-rays? If you do, can you tell me? Thank you.
Frances
Hi! I do have some information about x-rays! X-rays work by sending energy through a material like tissues in the human body. Different tissues absorb different amounts of this energy. So, when a special machine takes a photo of the body, the tissues appear in different shades and brightness of white.

Hi, Russ. Why is there going to be A.I. in schools? Is there not enough tech?
Russel
That's a great question, Russel! A.I. is a very specific KIND of tech. Some experts think it could be a powerful tool to help students learn. business and government leaders often talk about possible problems that could come from A.I. and how best to use this new technology. They're asking the same question you are right now! 🖥️

Russ, do you know anything about the first satellite?? 🤔
Colton
That's an interesting question, Colton! The first satellite was Sputnik 1. The Soviet Union launched it on October 4, 1957. It was round and about the size of a beach ball!
Russell Kahn
Hey, Russ. How are you doing? I have a major, big question. What has a bigger population: cats or dogs? I love cats so I hope they have more, but I don’t know the answer. Please answer back. Thank you.
Zelda
Hey, Zelda! Experts think there are more dogs around the world than cats. Some numbers suggest there could be around 900 million dogs and 600 million cats. 🐈🐈🐈
Russell Kahn
Hey Russ l know you’re busy but could you give me more information about the ISS?
Cbender
Sure! The ISS is the International Space Station. It flies about 248 miles (400 km) above the Earth. And it zips so fast that it goes around our planet every 90 minutes! The big space station travels from west to east as it orbits Earth. What else would you like to know?
Russell Kahn
Hello Russ! I'm from Turkiye, please send me a message. My name is Ipek for my friends pleaseeeee!

Hi Russ! I am so glad that guy saved the turtles. Do you think so too, Russ?
Zoey
Nice to meet you, Zoey. YES, I am so glad that Carlos Mallo Molina protected an ocean area by the Canary Islands. That will help many animals that live there, including sea turtles. 🐢
Russell Kahn
Hi, Russ. I was wondering, how do you catch up on all the information? I know that there is YouTube, Google, and more resources. But how do you get your information to all these articles? Also, happy Earth Day!!!
Mariana
Happy Earth Day, Mariana! I look at lots of news sources every day. There are so many newspapers that share the news about cities, states, countries, and the world. Many of them share the news online. I look through multiple newspapers to find out what reporters are saying about events. And to learn more, I look for information from trusted sources. I even reach out to experts and talk directly to them to hear what they think about what is going on!

If I want to be a doctor when I'm older what should I study?
Ava
Well, there are many kinds of doctors, so there are lots of different areas you could focus on for studying! Doctors use a lot of math and science, so those topics would be good to study. You can also study anatomy — that's the study of the body and its parts. Being a doctor is an important job! Good luck!

Hello, Russ. I have a question. Why was the Titanic called unsinkable?
Issa
Hello, Issa. People called the Titanic unsinkable because they thought it would never sink! The ship had 16 compartments in the bottom that could hold water if the ship got a leak. However, those compartments didn't seal all the way to the top. So, when the Titanic hit the iceberg, water flooded into several compartments. Then those compartments overflowed into other compartments, causing the ship to sink.
Russell Kahn
Hey, Russ. How did the Titanic sink?
Kaylee
The RMS Titanic struck an iceberg on April 14, 1912. The crew members tried to steer the ship away, but they reacted too late. The ice tore holes in the side of the ship, and water started pouring in. As the compartments filled up, the ship tilted, sank, and even broke in half.
Russell Kahn
Hi, Russ. Why are they trying to bring the dire wolf back, and how dangerous is the dire wolf?
Makynlee
That's a great question, Makynlee. Some experts think that science has an important job. It can bring back creatures that have gone extinct, ESPECIALLY if humans are what caused the creatures to disappear. Others worry about how that might affect humans and the environment. Dire wolves died out more than 10 thousand years ago, so there's still a lot about the creatures that researchers don't know. However, scientists ask big questions just like yours every day! 🐺
Russell Kahn
Hi. How long would it take to walk a normal marathon?
Howard
That depends on how fast you're walking! A marathon is 26.2 miles (42.2 km) long. Let's say you're walking at a speed of 3 miles per hour (4.8 kph). That is about the speed of an average adult. In that case, it would take you nearly nine hours to finish the marathon! 🦶 🦶
