Hello, Russ. How do trees help our environment, and what will happen if they are cut down?

Sara

Hello, Sara. Trees help our environment in many ways! They absorb carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen. Their roots hold soil in place, while their branches provide homes for animals. When too many trees get cut down, animals lose their habitats, and more carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere. 🌳

Do whales burp?

Reyansh

Yes, whales can burp! Just like humans, whales can build up gas in their stomachs while digesting food. They may release some of that gas through their mouths. However, scientists rarely observe whales burping, so there's still a lot to learn about how often these enormous animals do it! 🐋

Hey, Russ. How do I breathe oxygen???

Baygents

Hey! When you breathe in, air enters your nose or mouth and travels down into your lungs. Inside your lungs, tiny air sacs move oxygen from the air into your blood. Your blood carries that oxygen throughout your body, where your cells use it to make energy. Then you breathe out carbon dioxide!

Why does rain fall from the sky? How do we even have rain???

Delgar

Rain starts with water on Earth's surface. The Sun warms the water, turning some of it into an invisible gas called water vapor. As the vapor rises and cools, it forms tiny water drops in clouds. When the drops grow big enough, gravity pulls them down as rain! 🌧️

Hi, Russ, I have a question. How do teeth get yellow? I know its because sugar makes them yellow, but what scientific reasons explain how your teeth get yellow?

Maddy

Hi, Maddy! Teeth can turn yellow for several reasons. Foods and drinks can leave stains on their surface. Bacteria in your mouth also feed on sugar and make acids that damage tooth enamel, the hard outer layer. As enamel wears away, the yellowish layer underneath becomes easier to see! 🦷
