Ronaldo’s career as a pro soccer player started when he was 17. He played for teams in Spain, England, and Italy. Then, in 2023, he joined Al-Nassr. That’s a team in Saudi Arabia. He became the highest-paid soccer player in the world. The superstar’s new with the team is worth around $400 million.
Ronaldo also earns money from working on ads for businesses like sports apparel brand Nike. And he has his own brand, CR7. It’s named for his initials and the number on his jersey. CR7 includes wellness items, men’s clothing, and hotels. Altogether, Bloomberg estimates Ronaldo’s at $1.4 billion!
The soccer star grew up in Madeira, Portugal. His family didn’t have a lot of money. But his hard work practicing his soccer skills paid off. He became one of the top scorers in history. Ronaldo has scored more than 940 career goals! He has also won five Ballon d’Or awards. That prize is given each year. It goes to the best soccer player in the world.
Ronaldo is also the captain of the Portugal national team. He has played in five World Cups. In 2022, he became the first man to score in five different World Cup tournaments.
