Love for the Beatles! 🎤
The Beatles changed the world with their music. The group of four artists rose to stardom in the 1960s. They had fans all across the planet. June 25 is Global Beatles Day! The holiday marks the date in 1967 when the band performed the song “All You Need Is Love” on TV. (See Video.) Only two of the Beatles are still alive today. But the group’s music lives on.

Moving Around the Milky Way! 🌌
People celebrate Earth’s trip around the Sun. This journey takes one year. The solar system also moves. It goes around the Milky Way galaxy. This trip takes 225 million years! That’s a long time to wait to celebrate. So people broke the trip into small parts called Galactic Ticks. These times come every 633.7 days. The next Galactic Tick Day is on June 26!

Europe’s Big Meeting 🌍
The European Union (E.U.) is a group of 28 countries in Europe. On June 28 and 29, leaders from those nations will gather in Brussels, Belgium. They will discuss topics such as security and the economy. The group will also talk about Britain’s plan to leave the E.U. Britain’s leaders said they will have more details about their exit — called Brexit.

Oh, Canada! 🍁
On July 1, the land of hockey will celebrate a birthday. It’s Canada Day! The nation is marking 151 years of independence. There will be fireworks and parades. In the past, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has gotten in on the fun. He celebrated with a crowd of people. “This is who we are,” the leader said. “This is Canada!”

Mexico Votes ☑️
While Canada is celebrating, America’s southern neighbor will be voting. July 1 is Election Day in Mexico. Enrique Peña Nieto is the current president, but he can’t run for reelection. Andrés Manuel López Obrador could take over the top job. Or another candidate could come from behind to win. Voters will also choose new lawmakers!
